Asheville Sound Healing

Sound treatments are unique and specific to the individuals needs and their intentions for healing. Billy and I working together bring in both essential energies, the yin and yang, for the balance necessary for greatest harmonic attunement. You will be put into a relaxed state as an energetic assessment is made with out physical manipulation. I am guided by the sounds and silences I hear then deliver these sounds using my voice and shamanic guidance to the chakras and specific body areas where the sound is delivered.

During the treatment, Billy uses the pulse of the drum and balafon, both ancient African healing instruments, to help un block and dislodge stuck energies.

A treatment lasts about an hour but because of its transformative nature, clients should plan on relaxing an hour at least following treatment for proper integration.

Costs of treatment is $75-125. 

   Sounds of the Chakra Workshops are designed for health practitioners, sound healers, drum circle facilitators, bodyworkers, and anyone  seeking a healing tool for  staying in balance energetically through breath and sound. No prior vocal experience is necessary. In fact, your own voice sounding the Chakras is the best medicine for you. 

    This  workshop can be a designed to fit into an afternoon or evening class,  weekend or week long program depending on your groups needs and consists of the following components:

• Breathwork and breathing exercises 
• Listening exercises and visualization techniques
• Learning the sounds of the 7 chakras
• Putting it all together
• Group healing experience 
• Connecting to your authentic sound and soul song

The sounds can be toned in less than 2 hours and used in daily treatments for health and well-being of body, mind and spirit. Breath exercises that preceed the sounds are specific in gaining a more relaxed state so the sounds can be most effective.

Workshops for the chakra sounds run from 2 hr minis to full day programs which include breathing and listening exercises, pendulum work, sounding the chakras and healing applications.

When a group of people drum and tone together, it produces a tremendous feeling of connectedness and community. Joining people together without words in an expressive creative way only leads to joy.

West African drum lessons are held at Skinny Beats Drum Shop in Asheville, NC on Weds. 6-7pm and Suns. 1-2pm Intermediate beginner and 3-4pm. Beginners . Drums are provided. All classes are $15 for one hour. Private classes for individuals, corporate groups or parties are available. Call 828-768-2826 for rates and reservations.

Drum Making is an ancient art that Billy learned from master drum makers in Guinea, West Africa. You will be able to pick out a hand carved shell, goat skin and colour rope then have a one on one class with Billy and learn the inside secrets to putting together a professional sounding djembe. This is a great senior or mentor project.

Prices vary with size and type of shells.

Linda Go is a professional vocalist and has been a voice coach since 2000. Her unique exercises for breath and vocal control will help to free up the creative energies within and undo techniques that may be damaging to overall vocal health.
